Batul Bazzi, a hijabi fashion influencer and owner of "Batul The Collection", had planned a lineup of dresses for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. 

However,  

Batul got called out by a few sisters who brought her back to her roots, challenging the essence of modesty in her creations. This experience turned out to be a turning point in her life, sparking a reevaluation of her values as a Muslim woman.

👗 The Dress Dilemma 👗

While the majority adored Batul's new designs, there was one particular dress that stirred controversy. Described by Batul as the one she was “obsessed” with, it faced mixed reviews questioning its modesty, a key principle Batul upholds in her fashion brand.

Batul decided to cancel 6 out of 12 designs, just one month before the launch. Anything that deviated from her commitment to modesty was revamped or simply removed.

✨ Introducing "The Abaya Edit" ✨

Batul proudly announced "The Abaya Edit," a collection that is a testament to her commitment to modesty. The pieces have been crafted with attention to detail, ensuring they embrace modesty without compromising on style.

Key features of "The Abaya Edit" sample included:

✅ Loose fit designs for comfort and modesty

✅ Waistline without belts for a more modest silhouette

✅ Sleeves that are closed and cuffed, offering elegance while maintaining modesty

Batul devoted herself to these designs, tirelessly working on them for 7 months. Yet, her dedication to her Islam remained steadfast, alhamdulillah. 

She encourages us fellow sisters to adhere to our values as Muslim women and mold ourselves in a way that will benefit our Akhirah!
