Girl Scout Troop Takes Action 🇵🇸 🌟

Instead of selling cookies, Nawal's Girl Scout troop, composed of girls from Middle Eastern backgrounds, started a bracelet-making fundraiser to aid Palestinian children in need.

🚫 Unexpected Obstacles:

The council soon challenged Nawal's initiative, citing policy violations. They demanded the removal of all Girl Scout branding from their fundraiser or face legal repercussions.

📧 A Cold Response: 

Within 45 minutes of Nawal's proposal, the Girl Scouts branded their efforts as "political" and demanded neutrality. Despite Nawal's heartfelt plea, they resorted to more legal threats if she didn't comply.

🤔 The Irony:

Despite their mission of becoming "Agents of Change," the girls faced resistance from the very organization meant to foster their activism. Notably, the Girl Scouts had no issue supporting a fundraiser for Ukrainian children.

Nawal's troop made the decision to disband from Girl Scouts.
